WOODLAKE

WOODLAKE

Woodlake is one of the finest communities in the Richmond and Chesterfield area, serving well over 8,000 residents. With a spectacular lakeside location, residents enjoy resort lifestyle for everyday living.

The Woodlake community is located in Chesterfield on the west shore of the Swift Creek Reservoir along Rout 360, otherwise known as Hull Street. Due to its location, Woodlake residents are able to enjoy the convenience of the retail development off of Hull Street, as well as easy access to 288 where they can enjoy the West End, Glen Allen, and Short Pump.

Woodlake’s serenity of the lake and its wildlife, along with its various amenities and diversity of residents, attracts people and families from all age groups!

SCHOOLS

Over 75% of residents are either married or have families with children who attend Chesterfield County’s finest public Schools. Children in the Woodlake community will attend Clover Hill Elementary or Woolridge Elementary School, Tomahawk Creek Middle School, and Cosby High School. Cosby High School is home to the Health Science Specialty Center, and was one of only 335 schools in the nation to receive a Blue Ribbon Award for School Excellence. Their Health Science Specialty Center partners with organizations such as Bon Secours, VCU School of Medicine, Chippenham/Johnston-Willis Medical Center, and more.

Woodlake residents have a variety of amenities at their fingertips, including 13+ mile long biking and walking trails, 16 different playgrounds, 3 outdoor pools and 1 indoor pool, 19 tennis courts, 3 volleyball courts, 2 picnic shelters, 300+ spaces for boats, 8 docks, pools, tennis courts, day care, highly active clubs and organizations, and a fitness center. You’ll never have to leave your neighborhood!

NEIGHBORHOODS AND HOMES

Woodlake was developed shortly after the development of Brandermill by the same development group. Like Brandermill, Woodlake continued the trend of planned subdivisions, where homes were grouped by price, style, and type. By doing this, Woodlake is made of several individual, miniature neighborhoods.

AWARDS

This Chesterfield neighborhood has been recognized several times over the years, and has served as a model community for other planned communities around the country. In 1990, it was voted the “Best Community in America” by the Urban Land Institute. Ten years later, in 2000, they were named the “Number 1 Selling Community in Richmond” by Richmond Magazine. In 2002, Woodlake was named one of the “20 Hot Places to Live” by Richmond Magazine.
